School Days & Other Thoughts

2009-2010 school year is officially over (excluding one more planning day), but baseball is still in the hunt for a state title - semifinals are tonight against Redan. Graduation is in the books, and grades have been submitted. My (April's) final semester of grad school has begun, and we're anticipating an amazing trip out west in about 3 weeks! As I reflect on the year, I'm amazed at how fast it has gone by and how many changes have come about....God has continued to bless and work, and has given us once again a time to relax and recover from an exhausting school year. We'll be posting our itinerary for the trip in a week or so and will hopefully get to upload photos and news as we travel.....so stay tuned!

April's Grad School

April is very close to completing her masters through Mississippi State University. On May 17th, she will be taking her written comprehensive exam. This 3-hour exam must be passed in order to graduate. Summer courses will be the final chapter of grad school....they will consist of a 10-day field studies class in and around Yosemite and a website course. April will be walking in December 2010. There is a light at the end of the tunnel!!!!

Friends, we are starting this blog to update you on our family and share relevant information with all of you....We hope this can be helpful to see what is going on in our lives...

We will use it primarily to show our travels and describe to everyone what we are doing when we travel...Last year, when we visited DC, Josh wrote a daily synopsis of what we did...We realized it is 2010 and the way to do this now is through a blog.....Thus, the purpose for us starting The Mathews Messenger.....
